Swollen Belly Button Lump PAINN!!?

I got punched in the stomach the other day pretty lightly by a buddy, ever since I've had what feels like a killer bruised area at the top part of my belly button.. when i push down i can feel a hard bump and it shoots pain in that general area... really irritating everytime i goto sit down i can feel it, everytime i stand up, everytime i roll over in bed it wakes me up.. if i keep messing with it and pushing on it it starts to feel really achy and sore for like 10-15 min .. i dont feel like going to sit in the lineup at the doctors for 6 hours so if someone can tell me what the hells going on that would be nice... i dont feel sick or anything i feel fine just annoyed and impaired lol..

There is this guy that I use to work with (in different departments) and i had a little crush on him and he would always stare at me and then look away and not make eye contact. He finally got the courage and started a conversation with me one day. And we just clicked and had great chemistry. And for a couple of weeks he would always seek me out to talk to me and we would go on lunch breaks together. One day he mentions to me that he has a GF! to say I was shocked would be an understatement, but I got over it and figured he doesn't owe me anything. My best guess is a problem with your relationship with your mum. Do you have a mum? Or if you do, do you have a good relationship with her? Cuz thinking of them as caring and looking after you might just be you craving something you don't have and only being able to find it in other people. And now your confused and you don't need to be. Your not attracted to women. You said that. If men have always turned you on, then the most likely always will. It seems like your just scared and have yourself all jumbled up. Just stop and think logically about it. Your not attracted to women so stop thinking you are. It's human to look at people. We all do it, even in the locker rooms. It happens. How would I go about getting a six pack, may need to lose a bit of body fat first, how could I do this?

I'm 14 years young, almost 15. I haven't been able to weigh myself or measure my height as if I tried to measure myself, my mum would be like "wha?!" or something. I'm bisexual and lean strongly for women. I find that I like women who are a little older than me, and who are caring/touchy/nurturing and protective. I lived with a single mom who was hardly around(always at work), and would get physical when angry with me. We never hug, never say "I love you", never compliment each other, etc.

Why am i still so sad ?:(?

A couple of months ago I found a baby mouse. It's eyes wear open and it was active. It was so tiny and was heading straight torwards my fathers room and he has a dog and he would have tortured him then ate him. So I grabbed him and kept him safe. I fed him evaporated milk and he loved to curl up in my hair and close to me and sleep. He was so adorable and I grew very close to him. I love animals. So a couple of weeks went by then he started moving slowly and sleeping all the time then one day he started coughing and weezing. He sounded like he was in so much pain so I let my dad put him out of his misery. It broke my heart :*(. I cried for weeks. And still to this day I cry everytime I think about it. I feel like I didn't do enough and it was my fault he died. Or maybe if I just left him there his mom would have found him :(. It literally leaves me depressed for hours. I tried getting a mouse or gerbal but it just wasn't the same:(. I just don't know how to over come this saddness. I know it seems so silly but I was really attached. I guess it was my nurturing side:(.

You've got the words already. Be honest. "It seems like you only want to hear from me that your essays are 'wonderfully written' ". When you try to give helpful feedback, he doesn't take it well. If he doesn't want more than an ego boost from someone that cares about him and really wants to help--- than he should find someone else to read his stories and look at his drawings. When he's ready to accept your opinions, than you will give it to him. If he has trouble taking criticism from people that support him--- imagine how he would do as a professional writer. Give him some time and he may come around and see the light.

I am the oldest daughter of the disabled mom in question. I was born as a normal child and raised to be a very smart person, by my grandparents despite the fact my mom has cerebral palsy. She has the intellect of a 6 year old and she can do her adl's but cannot function with IADL's. Now I am in my 20's and now I have 8 year old twin brothers. They are become quite troublesome, stealing and taking advantage of my mom. The father isnt around, he has CP also. How can they be raised in an environment where it is safe and nurturing. Despite my mom is and overall good mom despite her condition, she cannot raise them alone because of her disablity. My grandmother is getting old and there is only so much she can do before she is extremely tired, yet refuses to get any outside help because everything is under control as she put it. But I am worried about my brothers as they get older. They have no male role model influence except my uncle who comes around once a month. They are involved in sports, but thats it. They are being raised as if they are women. What can we do about this

I am doing a report on a poem, and I reallly need some help?

It always helps to post the poem; however, I see it is a pretty long poem. I would say the tone and diction are kind of related in this poem. The language, although derived from Genesis 1 in the Bible, is more casual and down-to-earth. For example "It is good" in Genesis 1 becomes "That's good!" in the poem, which is much more casual and conversation-like. The theme is the creation of the world from a traditional Christian/Judeo-Christian viewpoint but it adds the idea that the real reason God created the world was because He was lonely. Figurative language includes: hyperbole: exaggeration by saying the darkness was "blacker than a hundred midnights/down in a cypress swamp." I sort of think the line "God spat out the seven seas" is also hyperbole since even a god/God would not be able to make oceans out of saliva. The idea that God could bat his eyes and lightning flashes is another one, etc., although a religious person--and I am one--could say that God has hidden powers we don't comprehend. There is some personification: notably, where it says "the pine tree pointed his finger to the sky" as a pine tree does not literally have a human finger. There is quite a bit of alliteration, where the beginning consonant of words gets repeated: "the g reen g rass sprouted," "s pat out the s even s eas", "f ishes and f owls," "b easts and b irds" and even the previous quote "p ine tree p ointed ." You can probably find some more examples on your own. Musical devices might include phrases which mimic a N egro spiritual, or a song that was sung in the 19th Century. I would say you have "The waters above the earth came down/the cooling waters came down" is like a refrain in a song that gets repeated for emphasis. Hope this helps.

My daughter and I went to the store and tried the same thing with a cracked screen. We were told we would get $13 back because of the cracked screen. Should i continue to play on my sprained ankle?

I am 15 years old and well i sprained my ankle back on may 5 while playing basketball. At first it hurt so much that could not even walk on it and it was swelled up alot. I went to the doctor that night and they said that the ligaments were really stressed and it was a slight sprain. they doc sent me home with some pain meds and some pills for swelling and some crutches. I used the crutches and meds for about a week then stopped while still applying ice and elevation It was painless to walk after about two weeks but there was still some swelling. I began playing on it lightly two weeks after the sprain and it would hurt the next morning. So i decided to stay off it for about 3 weeks applying ice and elevation every so often. 5 weeks after the sprain i still play on it very lightly maybe just shooting around and playing halfcourt games. There is no pain and i can jump on it but no as high as i could before the sprain. It has been about 8 weeks since i sprained it but there is still some swelling. What should i do? thanks in advance and sorry the description was so long.

some people acquire the habit of listening only to applauds depending on their upbringing. They may not be very accustomed to listening to any criticisms. There family might be overencouraging from the begining irrespective of correctness,for example. Or maybe his ego is just inflexible. But as he grows up i guess he will learn to take in constructive criticism more graciously. Just be patient and keep doing the good work without overdoing it.

i had recently got in an accident, i was always in the right lane driving down with no cors ahead of me. the other lanes where packed with cars stopped. as im driving down i was going to pass a t intersection with no stop signs and no lights. as i was passing, from the opposite side a person was making a left turn to enter the small street. i didnt see him and as im about to pass the T intersection he hits me from the side and pushes me in the sidewalk and i hit a pedestrian lightly. i want to know if this was his fault or myfault knowing that the other drivers had stopped for him to make the turn as i kept driving on my lane. please help.

Because dialects differ. It is bad to lightly scrub my ( face ) with a [ pumice stone ]?

Use 2% salicylic acid face wash and 10% benzoyl peroxide vanishing cream by clearasil. Then apply Beauty Lotion to your face. It's the generic version of Oil of Olay. Do this routine twice a day. It will get rid of the grimy and gritty feeling. You're tiring out your skin. Don't use a pumice stone on your face. In reality, we're not supposed to use scrubs on our face. Well one random day this year i started worrying if i was a lesbian. But she could go form tears to answering the doorbell with a fresh face and NO ONE could believe that she led a dual life. I was totally in the dark for 13 years. I have been a trusting person and love to see the good in people. But now, I don't trust any female face that is single that is over the age of 35. They either have the same trust baggage as I feel, or they have some kind of Personality Disorder lurking I fear. Stats show that a huge number of people on dating sites have some sort of identity disturbance, or personality disorder or have been abused - not that I would date using online sites. I am also independent and don't need to have someone, but I am of good character and have many solid relationships with good souls and excel in the workplace and take every form of education that I can to do best in work-life. I am a purpose driven person (not in terms of the book) and I felt too much pity for my wife to see anything out of order. Who wuld think an emotional cripple could be such an undermining and destructive person to her family. It was like someone in a wheelchair faking it and running into the night and wreaking havoc. I only found out this year and have quickly divorced her and have the kids through the week and she has them on the weekends. There is a genetic component to BPD, her mother had it, so I intend to offset the nurturing part to hopefully have our children grow up sane. BPD is considered a severe mental illness. It is considered a lifelong disorder and it is part of the Axis of diseases or disorders like schizophrenia and mental retardation currently...again, meaning simply that it is life long. I divorced her becuase the data is not good as of 2011 that they improve (not be cured) at a very slow rate. 3-7-10 years to have improvement and the best you can hope for is someone that is emotionally incapable of loving you as much you put forth, being truly remorseful and alwasy having a secretive self-serving element that does not fear consequences in a healthy way. I lived with that wrapped up in a stealthy spy-like concealment for 20 years. we dated 7 years before marriage, so most of my life was vested in this person. Trust with other women will be very hard to come by. I am not where near indulging in relationships or commitments. I am content with my children for the time being, but I am very capable of dating and can get dates no problem. I am just afraid of who that other person really is. BPDs are impossible to spot until it is too late. Thare are various kinds of BPDs, mine was a slow-bake variety. Some reveal themselves on the first date, others wear a misrepresentative mask over their lack of identity...and they can have a few secret identities. Any advice?

Stop trying so hard. Mastery of language comes with age and conversational experience. While you may have a reasonable grasp of the words you are stringing together to sound articulate, you may still be lacking the real world experience to effectively utilize your vocabulary. Red Raw wounds in belly button?

I got punched in the stomach the other day pretty lightly, but enough to kinda take the wind out of me.. It was my friend just messin around, ever since then ive had this really sore pain right at the upper part of my belly button going about 2 inches above it.. when i push down on it it just feels really sore like a bruise, sharp pain.. its really irritating when i bend forward or goto sit down, and it keeps waking me up from sleep every time i roll on my stomache (im 300 pounds 6 feet so definitely a big guy with a big gut) but the weird part is I looked inside my belly button and apart from being a little swollen and it feels all hot, theres a red raw scratch looking thing thats going from inside of my belly button down inside(where i cant see the bottom of it) and theres 1 other small red scratch/wound/rash in there aswell, same type but a lot smaller.. its definitely not red skin though its actually a wound i can see the moisture inside of it.. but its reallly light almost like someone scraped your knee really quick with a piece of sandpaper... anyways this has been happening now for 2 nights and its really annoying and starting to worry me.. i cant goto the doctors either so anything would help

Almost 32 weeks pregnant and in pain?

I will be 32 weeks on Saturday. I have had an awful headache all day, plus I have had some abdominal discomfort. I took 500mg of Tylenol which did not really help and I don't want to go overboard with it. For the past few weeks, I have often felt like someone was lightly choking me. My doctor told me this was normal, but it still seems unusual to me. My blood pressure has been low/normal for the most part. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? I love to act, sing, dance ( I am formally trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Ballroom, and have competed in all) and play guitar and piano. Pregnant and lightly bleeding can this be ok?

I took a test today and it was a very faint positive. My period has been messed up since I got my Mirena out a few months ago so I didn't really know when my period was late. So for the last week or two I have been taking a test every other or every 3 days. So the test being faint doesn't concern me since it was negative only 3 days ago. The last 3 days I have been getting bleeding very light like after sex the other night i was so i just thought it was my period so I put a tampon in and called it a day the next day I wake up and take the tampon out to realize it has nothin on it. okk so i again brushed it off and went about my business and then the next 2 days today included once or twice a day I will go to the bathroom and wipe and there will be blood it will mostly be brown with a tiny bit of pink/red. I have been soo confused by it and its obviously not my period so I took the 2 tests this morning and got the positive but I just don't really know what to think of it. I have an appt with my primary care doctor 2morro and I will bring it up to him, I am also cramping but I always cramp while pregnant(this would be my 3rd) so I dont think that means too much and its not like the miscarriage I had before but I cant help but be worried and figured I would ask here to see if anyone else had light bleeding in the beginning and went on to have healthy babies. 3wk navel piercing feels raised when lightly touched, is this normal or is it being rejected?

After taking the battery out of my Blackberry Bold, the red LED light goes on for a few seconds and the screen shows the loading clock for about 10 seconds then turns black. About 3 seconds later i can lightly see the rebooting screen but it turns black again. I know the phone is on because when i wait, i can see the red LED light blinking because of messages. Could this possibly be a loose connection with the LED screen? If so, how can I fix this?

Bicycle rear brake problems?

Hey guys, I would like to begin this by stating that I don't know bicycle terms very well, so if I'm using the wrong terms, please bare with me. Okay so I have a crappy mongoose mountain bike. Me and my friends found a trail to go riding at. The trail has alot of twists and turns, and most of the path is covered with pine-straw, which brings along problems for me. Because I didn't have back brakes, I couldn't take sharp turns very fast. I was having to use front brakes, which was very dificult because on pine-straw, the front wheel doesn't even have to lock up to lose traction. Thats why I need my back brake. The brake hasn't been working for a few months now, but it was never really that necessary up until about now. I don't want to take it to a bike shop. I believe the problem is that the brake line doesn't have enough tension, so I tried to fix that. On the rear brake, I pulled the brake line very tight, but that caused both of the brake pads to press up against the wheels. So I loostened them a little bit, and I lightly pulled the brake lever, and it still had a good bit of tension, and the brake pads were not touching. So I took it for a little stroll, but after one or two times of about 50% braking, the line lost a little bit of tension. It was certainly better than before, but not enough to really help me on the trail. So I tightened a screw that was on the rear brake lever, and it pushed the lever outward, creating more tension. Again it still wasn't enough tension. Is there anything else I can do? The screw on the handle bars is as tight as I can get it, and I pulled the line out at the rear brake as much as possible with out the pads touching the rim. What do I do now?

I took a pt that was negative and the doctors was negative so we decided I start Ortho Evra (the patch) which I started the day I got my period June 6. My 6 month old puppy chews everything in the house, but only when we are asleep or not home?

I've tried firmly saying no, swatting her lightly when she chews at night and I catch it. I've tried redirection to toys - we spend at least a hundred dollars a month on puppy chew toys that she just destroys right away. My chiuahau had a c section yesterday and will not nurse or lick the puppies?

my vet told me to put the pups with her evry hour (not alone but with my supervision) and my mentor told me to talk to the mother dog and rub them on her while petting her to try and coax her to lick them. I have keept them warm am feeding them every two hrs by bottle as well as burping them and stimulating them to pee and poop. When to aerate Bermuda grass?

There are so many different "opinions" out there and I don't know who's advice to follow. I live in the desert southwest where the temperatures are regularly hitting 100 degrees. I have huge patches of grass that are dying. I have my sprinklers set to come on at 7am, three times a week for 25 minutes. First thing people assume is that I'm not watering the areas that are dying but I assure you that I have pretty good coverage. Next, some have said that I may have grub worms. Isn't the grass supposed to be able to be picked up like a rug since the roots have been eaten? Haven't found any evidence but I'm treating for grubs currently just in case. Finally, some think I may have a fungus. I don't know how to diagnose fungi but from the pictures I've seen online it doesn't match. Maybe I need to aerate? When's the best and/or worst times of the year to do this? I aerated my yard last June and lightly again at the beginning of this spring. I can't afford a machine so I'm forced to use a handheld step aerator. The grass that dies will turn a blue-ish grey for a day or two, then yellow. Huge patches mixed in with lush green healthy grass. I'm currently treating my yard in stages, insecticide (caged off due to pets), then followed by a fungicide a few days later. I know that these applications are probably to close together but I'm so frustrated that I'm willing to try anything! Im thinking this could be an allergic reaction because I have been sleeping on the couch for the past couple of days because it is cooler downstairs in the living room then my room, and I have a larger television where I can watch t.v. It started to feel like tingly Wednesday, but then kind of went away, I told my mom its has been itching. She said she didnt know what it was (this is Thursday) The itching only got worse Friday, and Saturday. Saturday when we were at iHop, my mom said she started itching, and she went to the grocery store and got her some anti - itch spray, and some benadryl, because apparently benadryl stops the itching, It got better today (well Sunday) the itch went away, I got some of that spray and it helped some, but not all the way.. I took a nap because I was tired, and the itching came back.. I asked my dad what he thought it was, he said he was itching too! Its really annoying, and I really hope this goes away. Also, please dont call me paranoid, because what is happening is real. Thanks! What is this "crawling/itching" and how long does it take to go away, if this happened just a few days ago. Be sure to also notice that, Im sure this is not HIV/Aids, because I have had no sexual contact with anyone else, EVER. And also note that I am not allergic to pets or any type of foods yet that I know of.

Sometimes you need to know when you are fighting a losing bartle. This is one of those times. It is best just to give up, and be happy with the pets you have. Remenber that you are moving, and even after settiling into the new house it is going to be hetic around there for quite awnhile. Also have you thought about how your golden, and horse might react? They may not appreciate a new puppy. I have actually seen a dog pairing that ended badely, and my sister almost got hurt. Also ask yourself this, "Do I really have the time to train a new puppy?"

It's really beautiful. =') Love it! But the "children's tongue" bit seemed to be a bit of a killer for me, it would make it even better if you said "waft down onto the cheek of a child" or something similar. Apart from that, it's really nice. :)

Is there any real basis for there being a genetic predisposition towards aberrant behavior? Can criminality be understood outside the context of of environment? I have heard that violent criminals inside prisons are more likely to have a genetic or chromosomal disorder that makes them more likely to be violent criminals. But these same criminals almost all have something horrible (abuse,molestation,and so on) in their backgrounds too. I have also heard that plenty of people have these genetic violence markers, but don't become violent if they were raised in a normal, healthy environment. Of course plenty of people come from horrible and abusive backgrounds and grow to be normal healthy adults. What about addiction? Everyone that has a glass of wine doesn't become an alcoholic, but some do. Children of addicts are more likely to be addicts themselves, but is that genes or environment?

Nah, you're just going through the bicurious phase a little late. Most teenage girls go through that, where they're unsure of their sexuality... You sound exactly like how I was a few years ago. First I was straight, then I started looking at girls wondering about getting turned on and trying to not get turned on. When I'd had enough of that, I stopped fighting it and figured I was bisexual--but after a year or so it just hit me: I am so not bisexual, lol. I can't imagine being in a relationship with a woman, not that there's anything at all wrong with that--it would just feel unnatural for me personally. When I look at a woman, I can marvel at her beauty and be fascinated by her body just because it's flawless, but at the same time, I don't feel like I want to get in bed with that. Why did the American accent change so much? It's not neccesarily a proper diction or grammar thing, just the flow of the words. An example of what I'm talking about is the actress who played Liesl from The Sound of Music. I know that the movie is from the 60s, but the accent is what I'm talking about. Gee I don't know, perhaps we could try not hitting him for wanting to show affection therefore making him think that he's being bad? Don't swat him, no matter how light, just hiss and move him away, ANY sort of swatting or hitting will upset him and he'll do it more because he's trying to, in his mind, make things better, I swat mine but only if they're actually doing something wrong and they won't respond to hissing, if he's a problem at night then put him in a carrier or a crate but stop with the swatting, it's confusing him which is why he then bites harder. You could always also make sure to tire him out with play about an hour to half an hour before you go to bed so he'll just sleep when you do. But seriously, no more swatting. Have a very intelligent set of young children and a DID which has us living on disability at this time. Have a spouse who is also dissociative but not DID-- some big ?s keep coming up- and I/We don't know how to answer. Some kids are most clumsy than others. My son wasn't walking fully until around 16 months and even then he was very clumsy and fell down a lot. That's just a part of being a baby. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you don't see improvement by 19 months.
