I found a wild bird i need help?

i found a wild bird my dad said it fell from somewhere and he already touched it so idk if the whole human scent applies on a baby bird or just the egg but idk wat to do i want to put it back but idk where the nest is ... can some1 help i dont want to leave it there to die i wanted to keep it until it can fly and let it go but my brother said it needs the nurturing of a mother to bite down the food for it etc ... gimme any feedback u got thx.
